Open Access Policy

We have the opinion that research should be as transparent and open as possible, at ARC: Journal of AI in Clinical Practice. Our published work usually contains relevant questions regarding the role of AI tools in the actual clinical practice contexts - both in hospitals and outpatient clinics as well as in community health practice. ARC adheres to the open access publishing model in order to ensure that this knowledge is disseminated to the largest audience possible.

What Open Access Means

Open access implies that any research article, which is published in ARC Journal of AI in Clinical Practice, is free to read, download, and share. Anyone, be it a clinician, a researcher, a student or an inquisitive reader can read the entire text of any article without paying or subscribing.

This approach supports:

  • More exposure of authors and their work.
  • Accelerated and increased distribution of research results.
  • Knowledge can be got and shared in an easier way across fields and globally.
  • Better access in clinicians and health professionals who do not have institutional subscriptions.
Why It Matters

The development of clinical AI is a rapid field and obstacles to access may delay the process. We believe that by making our content open we can help promote learning, collaboration and innovation in healthcare. Open access can facilitate reading, discussing, and expanding upon published research for people worldwide, particularly those in smaller clinics and those with little resources.
