Article Processing Charges
The Journal of AI in Clinical Practice from ARC Academic Press is now an entirely open-access journal. All articles published in this journal can be read by readers worldwide without cost. There will be no subscription or paywall to access the content published on ARC.
To manage the costs involved in publishing and maintaining the journal, a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied. The APC is requested only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. There is no fee for submitting a manuscript.
The Article Processing Charge (APC) supports the essential operational costs of publishing and maintaining a high-quality open-access journal. It covers the management of the peer-review process, editorial handling and author communication, professional copyediting and formatting of accepted manuscripts, DOI assignment and metadata registration, online hosting and platform maintenance, long-term digital archiving and preservation, as well as general administrative support for authors and reviewers.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Submission fees are not applicable.
- Priority or fast-track reviews do not incur additional charges.
Refund Policy
APC payments are non-refundable. Once a manuscript has entered the publication process, associated costs cannot be reversed.
Refunds will not be provided in cases such as:
- Withdrawal of a manuscript after acceptance.
- Changes to indexing or evaluation status.
- Decisions based on third-party rankings or assessments.
Notes for Authors of AI and Clinical Research
Authors are encouraged to ensure transparency in reporting. Where ethically and legally appropriate, datasets, code, and AI models should be clearly described and made accessible. Additional supporting materials related to AI methodologies or clinical data analysis may accompany the published article.
